A legal disclaimer

By using our website and ordering from Moekie’s Boerekos Kombuis, you agree to the following terms and conditions, in accordance with South African law.

1. Business Overview

​

Moekie’s Boerekos Kombuis provides made-to-order, traditional meals for pre-order and pickup. We operate within South Africa and follow all applicable food safety and eCommerce laws.

2. Order & Payment Terms

​

  • Orders must be placed in advance via our website before the daily cut-off time.

  • Payment must be made in full before meals are prepared.

  • We accept EFT, credit card, and secure online payment gateways.

  • No orders will be confirmed without proof of payment.

3. Pickup Policy

​

  • Meals are available for pickup on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 14:00 and 18:00.

  • Uncollected meals will be refrigerated and held until 18:00 the next day, after which they may be discarded.

  • No refunds will be provided for uncollected orders.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

​

  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance for a full refund.

  • Late cancellations or missed pickups are non-refundable, as meals are made fresh to order and cannot be resold.

  • Refunds are not issued for customer dissatisfaction due to personal taste preferences.

5. Food Safety & Allergens


We take food safety seriously and prepare all meals according to hygiene regulations and best practices. However, meals are prepared in a kitchen that uses common allergens such as dairy, eggs, nuts, wheat, and gluten.

While every effort is made to ensure meals are safe and wholesome, Moekie’s Boerekos Kombuis cannot be held liable for allergic reactions or sensitivities unless proven to be the result of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

It remains the customer's responsibility to disclose allergies and dietary needs before placing an order.

6. Customer Responsibility

​

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to verify order details, collection time, and personal dietary needs before placing an order.

  • Customers must ensure their contact and pickup details are accurate.

7. Limitation of Liability

​

  • Moekie’s Boerekos Kombuis will not be held liable for:

    • Any illness or adverse reaction due to known or unknown allergies.

    • Any delays in pickup caused by unforeseen circumstances (e.g., load shedding, traffic).

    • Any damages, losses, or theft after meals have left our premises.

  • Our total liability is limited to the price paid for the affected meal.

8. Intellectual Property

​

All content on this website, including logos, menus, and branding, belongs to Moekie’s Boerekos Kombuis and may not be reproduced without permission.

9. Amendments

​

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the latest terms.
